Weather-hit DP World India Championship sees three-way lead

What happened

Angel Hidalgo, Joost Luiten and Adrian Meronk shared the lead at the weather-affected tournament at Delhi Golf Club as of the October 16 report.

Context and what is known

Om Prakash Chouhan was the best-placed Indian when play was suspended. An incomplete round means the leaderboard may shift sharply when play resumes.

Reading the result and the next step

When rain interrupts a golf round, a published leaderboard may compare players who have not completed the same number of holes. That is why the stage of play and the number of holes finished should accompany any report of a shared lead. Updated standings can change once the delayed round resumes, and an interim lead should not be described as a tournament victory.
