New Delhi–Osaka route and start date
Air India announced on 15 October that it intends to launch nonstop flights between Delhi and Kansai International Airport in Osaka from 2 February 2027. The carrier says four weekly services will operate using Boeing 787-8 aircraft, making Osaka its second Japanese destination alongside Tokyo.
What changes for passengers
The announced outbound flight AI360 leaves Delhi late in the evening and arrives the next morning; the return AI359 leaves Osaka late morning and reaches Delhi the same day. Flight days vary by direction, so travellers should verify the precise service date rather than assume there is a departure every day.
Flight schedules and booking conditions
The addition is likely to appeal to visitors combining Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo in one trip. Bookings and operational schedules can change before launch, making the airline’s current booking page and fare rules the decisive source when buying tickets.
