Voter-roll revision across 17 regions
The Election Commission has announced a special summary revision of electoral rolls in 17 states and union territories where the earlier intensive exercise has concluded. Under the reported schedule, draft lists are due on 12 November 2026 and the final publication is planned for 4 January 2027.
Why the draft-roll date matters
Voters will be able to review whether their name and details appear correctly and use the prescribed objection or correction processes. The eligibility reference date is 1 January 2027. Residents in other regions should not assume the same dates automatically apply; separate schedules are expected.
How voters can check their entries
Questions about inclusion and deletion should be examined with reference to the actual notice, available voter-service forms and the Election CommissionтАЩs grievance process. Allegations of improper removal require documentary support and should not be presented as established merely because a political party alleges them.
