TSMC’s third-quarter results and figures

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company reported third-quarter 2026 consolidated revenue of NT$1,494.24 billion and net income of NT$763.06 billion. In its October 15 earnings release, the company said net income and diluted earnings per share increased 68.7% from a year earlier and revenue rose 50.9% in New Taiwan dollars.

How advanced-node chips contribute

Advanced chip manufacturing continues to attract customers building high-performance computing and AI systems. The company said 2-nanometre products accounted for 8% of quarterly wafer revenue, with 3-nanometre and 5-nanometre processes forming much larger shares.

Why future orders still carry uncertainty

TSMC’s strong results do not eliminate risks: manufacturing expansion requires heavy capital spending, while trade policies and the pace of AI investment can influence future orders. The annual profit increase reported here comes from TSMC’s filing rather than an estimate from market commentators.
